The District Annual Fishing Competition 2007

On Sunday the 17th June 2007, the Preceptory’s of the Forth Valley returned to the Frandy Reservoir in Glendevon to compete for the District Fishing Trophy. The weather once again was very good, with a large number of  Fratres topping up their tans whether on a boat or on the bank. For the first few hours, the fish were not biting albeit they were rising all around us without taking the bait.  It was later in the day when the clouds started to gather that and we had some drizzle, the fish started to be reeled in.

The coveted prize was retained by Greyfriars Preceptory (B) Team   consisting of Fr Jock Davidson and Fr. Gerrard Dawson

Fr Paul Bissett PP

The event was organised again by Em Fr. Tom Adams PP of St Mungo’s Preceptory. Big Tam has to be congratulated for another excellent day’s fishing which was carried out in good spirit. The prizing giving was done in good humour with everyone walking away with a prize, albeit they might not want to brag about it.
